Waiting Patiently

Next week is Holy Week and as we prepare to Celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I am challenging myself to stay focused on the goodness of God. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. Surely if I were to make a list of God's blessings there wouldn't be enough paper to record it all. I'm thankful for my family, for life, health, strength, shelter, food, clothing, employment, church, safety...so many things! Psalm 40:5 says, "Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare."

Even in this world of so much uncertainty, a failing economy, war and rumors of war, violence in the very places where we should be safe, and our national and world leadership is failing us on every front, we know that God never fails! God never goes back on his word! God has a plan that includes us and in that plan, He provides hope, safety and happiness. Now that is the Breaking News for the day, God's plan is one of success and not failure, joy and not sorrow, peace and not war. That's enough to sing and shout praises, right?

Whatever you are dealing with, and whatever challenges seem to have your attention right now, be encouraged that God's hands are big enough and strong enough to hold them if you just place them there. Take a moment and inhale the sweet aroma of His presence and as His spirit permeates every fiber of your being, release all of your cares into His hands and He will surely work them all out. Glorify and Praise Him in the midst of your storm for your victory is at hand!

Be Blessed!
